Fulfilled: Rest in God's Will

Beyond knowing God's general will for all people, do you ever wonder how you can know if you are following His unique will for your life? Do you every wonder if you are being fulfilled in Him? What if He shows you a new plan and it is something you have never done before, how would you know how to go about it? Jesus promisers to be with you the from beginning to end. He is with you rejoicing, encouraging and protecting you from all harm. He gives you peace through your trials. But how, you may wonder, would you find the room in your busy life to really process and apply God's unique vision for you? He will help you clear out space to do what is best for you. Our God is truly King over all with infinite wisdom to help you! He also gives you markers to let you know your on the right course. Our God is truly good all the time! As you think and meditate on the word of God he begins to not only reveal his special plan for you, but with patience and love He shows directs you in the Way.

Know that Jesus is already on your side and wants you to be fulfilled uniquely in Him. He is the expert Counsellor¹ that will guide you in His specific plan for your life. In fact, the very desires to know His will and need for fulfillment comes from Him. It is in His character to express and implement these in your life. Through believing in Jesus, God's Son, and inviting Him to have every part of your life, He promises in His word to never leave or abandon you. As you come under his authority you are illuminated from the inside out with His Holy Spirit. Once we are all in, He shows us how to make room for change in our lives. He relieves us from many tiresome and unprofitable tasks and activities that fill most of our time and consume all of our energy and focus. He finds us where we are and draws us to Himself.² He takes us away from the flurry of a reactionary life. A life without a clear directive. One that shifts around from one activity to another, having a false confidence that in the distant future everything will connect and resolve into meaningful focus on its own. Another way He show us how to make room is by taking us away from the role being head director of our own lives and lives of those around us.³ A script we follow based on own created ideas of how our life should look and be and involves convincing others that these ideas are good for them too! He does this because He loves us and knows that ultimately there no reward or fulfillment in these ways of living. We no longer operate under our own will, seeking God out occasionally to ask for His advice. Instead, we place our trust, hope and faith completely in Him without fear or uncertainty. But with gratitude, knowing that He, as the King of Kings and ultimate Director and Creator over all with mercy understanding and grace, will guides us to freedom from our own selves and freedom from others. When we release these former ideas, plans, and tasks we were busy with and come under Him directly, He renews our mind and gives us peace and rest with ourselves and others.

The signs that show us if we are being fulfill and are in God's will, are when we are at rest ⁴ and when we are loving others as ourselves. Once this new room is made in our lives and our focus is completely on Him, He speaks and directs us—our souls, our spirits and sometimes we can even here him audibly! This is the best of all times! Better is one day with God working in His courts than anywhere else! He shows us how to work peacefully alongside others and how to properly work under those he places as leaders over us. He also shows us how to lead those under us with compassion and grace. Because we know who we are and who's we are, God's plan and will is accomplished through both our family and work dynamic. God has already set the groundwork and blueprints in place. When we come to Him, seeking His will⁷ for our lives specifically, the answers are always in His words. When we come to Him, seeking His will⁷ for our lives specifically, the answers are always in His words.
